Wow, that didn't take long. Let me start out by saying that Alien Gear is an incredibly responsive company. I think the article about their Cloak Mod holster was only up about an hour before I had a phone call from a representative of the company. They wanted to answer any questions and just follow up with me because they had already read the article and wanted to make sure I was happy with their work.

In this conversation they wanted to make it clear that the Cloak Mod was never intended as a concealed carry holster. It was more targeted toward the growing open carry market. That...considering the design of this holster makes a lot more sense. There's still some design elements that concern me but if you are only trying to open carry or use this in competition then it comes in clear as a purpose driven design.

A couple of things mentioned was the single point of contact with the belt (only having a center contact means that the butt of the grip will stick out) and the width of the belt slot on the paddle made it sloppy on the belt. I was assured they would take that feedback to the right people and under advisement. From their response time...I have no doubt that said feedback is already headed to the right hands.

A quick note on the belts mentioned in the article, Both Alien and Bigfoot fall under Tedder Industries ownership. I wasn't attempting to say that this was a secret in any way. Just pointing out the fact that they are under the same umbrella. More on the belts later.

Anyway, just an update to make sure I had everything factual for you. Thanks for reading.
